Re “Malsin’s Critics Are Being Disingenuous”
Attn. Mr. Phillips:
You have missed the point of most of the letters regarding Scott Malsin.
Most who have commented are not upset that Mr. Malsin retired early from the City Council to avail himself of the generous medical benefit that was expiring last Dec. 31.
Most writers (myself included) are upset because now that he has secured his very generous, very expensive lifetime medical benefits, he has the gross audacity to expect to get his old job back on the Council.
This is not about whether he did a good job as a Council member. This is about wanting your cake and eating it, too.
Either you’re retired or you are not. You can’t have it both ways.
