On Election Day, I Vote for a New Poll Worker

Dateline Dayton – Since Tuesday was primary election day in Ohio, our poll workers were a little better prepared than the last time. However, I still wonder if my vote really gets counted amidst the confusion in my precinct. The poll worker had to place a clip in the computer, and she had no clue where it went. After getting help to complete that task, I was given my card to vote.

Previously I have said I believe Rick Santorum is the only Republican with a chance of winning in November. I cast my vote for him, but Mitt Romney narrowly won the State. I hope those who voted for Mitt are right, but I have my doubts. I’m holding out hope that someone will surface who doesn’t have the baggage the frontrunners carry. Time is running out, though. With the heavy amount of negative ads run by the Republican candidates, why would you want to vote for any of them – except that President Obama must be defeated if we to survive as a free country.

I didn’t vote for our Congressman because I felt a signal needed to be sent: The nonsense in Washington must stop. U.S. Rep Mike Turner (R-Ohio) won easily, which I expected. I also didn’t cast votes for most of the candidates running unopposed since they will be on the ballot no matter what. I did make an exception for one County Commission candidate because I felt there was a need to show support for Ashley Webb’s candidacy.

Trashing a Holy Book

Regarding the burning of the Koran last month, how did it happen? Yes, I know it was an accident. But the military shouldn’t have accidents of this magnitude. Who spilled the beans? If they were burned, how was there evidence? Why wasn’t it kept quiet? Why didn’t the military turn the matter over to their Commander-in-Chief? He has been liberal with the truth for years. Surely he could have made up a story. Look what he’s saying regarding the upswing in the auto industry. If the price of gas goes much higher, the auto industry will be needing bailouts again. We won’t need cars because we won’t be able to afford gas.

Best Things in Life Are Free?

Religion often is under attack by the Obama administration in one form or another. Healthcare is under attack by the Obama administration. If we allow the administration to eat away at our freedoms this country was built upon, the day will come when we will lose everything.

Every election is important, but November is critical.
