In honor of Women’s History Month, state Sen. Curren D. Price Jr. (D-Culver City) is soliciting nominations of outstanding women who live in the 26th District.

Sen. Price will select 26 nominees, known as SHeroes. The honorees will be announced in early April and will be saluted at a special ceremony in May.

A “SHero” is defined as a woman who has demonstrated leadership, pride, volunteerism and commitment to her community in a remarkable manner.

Ideal nominees are neighborhood activists, artists and community and business leaders, women who make a substantive difference in the lives of others but may not always be recognized for their contributions.

To nominate a “SHero” from your community, please complete both sides of the nomination form. Nominees must live in the 26th Senate District, and if there is doubt, see http://192.234.213.69/smapsearch/framepage.asp

A list of SHeroes from this District is on the “SHeroes” section of Senator Price's website www.senate.ca.gov/price

For questions about the SHero program, Rebecca Bernal may be contacted at the district office Rebecca.bernal@sen.ca.gov.
