I Scream for Ice Cream

Robert EbsenOP-ED

I thought I never really liked sorbet — until my son-in-law and daughter served me some of their homemade, low-sugar, mango sorbet last weekend. It wasn’t sweet like ice cream, and it wasn’t as creamy, but it tasted good, and the texture was quite appealing. Most excitingly, they had made it from scratch on their ice cream machine. I pleaded with my wife for the same machine. The jury is still out.

Old? Not me. They say, “You’re as old as you feel.” Uh-oh.

Gas-X vs. Maalox

Psyching Out My Pool Heater

One of the greatest inventions, as far as a pool owner is concerned, is the pool heater. Yes, a pool cover can generate some heat, but unless the water temperature is about 80 degrees, swimming is postponed.

I AM CALM AND CHEERFUL. I HATE NO ONE. I ENVY NO ONE. THERE IS NO WORRY OR FEAR IN ME. I TRUST IN GOD ALL THE TIME.
