Dateline Dayton – Today I am going to share some pet peeves, not in any order of importance.
Who Knows When Our Home Will Be Normal Again?
Dateline Dayton – There just doesn’t seem to be any normalcy in the Hennessey household of late. With working to get the bathroom remolding project completed, the house in order for our fiftieth wedding anniversary and the actual party itself, things have been topsy-turvy.
Sometimes Your Children Can Surprise You
Dateline Dayton – Last week we had our son Chris with us from Florida. He spent 10 days and left last Saturday. While here, he told us something we never expected to hear, that he wants to move back to Dayton from Tampa.
Reflecting on 50 Years of Gold
Dateline Dayton – Last Saturday was our 50th wedding anniversary.
Biden Calls Himself Catholic and Holds These Views?
Dateline Dayton – Each workday morning, I check the internet for local news, world news and business news. Last Friday I came across a posting “Forget the Mormon movement, it’s about Catholics” and the Roman Catholic Church.
A Handy Husband’s Work Day Never Is Finished, and Happy Anniversary
Dateline Dayton – Some time ago – let me correct that – a long time ago I started to remodel our second bathroom. After having done the smaller bathroom, with help from my son and son-in-law, I knew I could handle the task.
Everyone Should Be Ready for Change, for a Change
Dateline Dayton – The political season is in full swing. The weather has been hot and humid. The politicians’ hot air only makes the situation worse. Not a day goes by when we don’t receive at least one politician calling, wanting us to participate in a survey, inviting us to a rally or providing us with lots of bull manure.
On an Evening Out, I Will Need More Proof
Dateline Dayton – Pauline and I had an unusual experience last Saturday night, at an event sponsored by Dayton History, the organization I wrote about last week. The program at the Old Court House, in downtown Dayton, was called “Innocent or Guilty.”
Look at the Historic Attractions We Can Offer
Dateline Dayton – Last Thursday evening Pauline and I attended the annual meeting of Dayton History. I served on the Dayton’s History Board for one year, just after Carillon Park merged with the Montgomery County Historical Society, forming Dayton History. Prior to and during the merger, I was on the board of the Montgomery County Historical Society.
Keep on Trying. Never Give up. A Lesson for Our Granddaughter.
Dateline Dayton – My heartfelt sympathy goes out to those killed and injured at the theater shooting in Colorado. One of the young men killed, shielding his girlfriend, was from the Dayton area.
