President and Waxman Are Letting Us Veterans Down Again

(See pdf below)

Fellow Veterans and Friends of Veterans,

Below is an email sent to U.S. Rep. Henry Waxman (D-Westside) with our attached letter respectfully requesting that he issue a press release directing the Obama administration’s Dept. of Veterans Affairs (DVA) and the Dept. of Justice/U.S. Attorneys (DOJ), to immediately denounce any notion or plans for appeal to Judge Otero’s Aug. 29 judgment in the ACLU lawsuit, and to publicly withdraw all possible options, posthaste.

Right now, President Obama is trying to convince Congress to vote for a U.S. Military strike against Syria.

Why is our U.S. government trying to wage war with another country for illegal use of weapons and abusing its citizenry when this same U.S. government is fighting a lawsuit over the illegal use of Veterans’ land and abusing our disabled and homeless Veterans?  Guess who will have to bear the burden for the President and Congress's willingness to wage war again?

Why would our Commander-in-Chief and Congress spend so much time and money defending other countries and their citizens when our own government abuses the very men and women who wage war at their behest?

It's time to take care of our own first. Let other countries fight their own battles.  We have suffered enormous American casualties on behalf of other countries, and now our government totally neglects these patriotic men and women when they come back physically, mentally and emotionally disabled.

Fix the backlog of hundreds of thousands of disability claims first, before sending one more American Troop into harm's way.

Ms. Lisa Pinto, Congressman Waxman's District Director here in Los Angeles, responded that she received our letter and is forwarding it to Mr. Waxman in D.C.

Please join and hold the Congressman accountable for demanding the Obama administration to withdraw any and all options for appeal on Judge Otero's recent ruling and further demand the full and immediate eviction of all occupiers who are now on Veterans land illegally.

Demand that our U.S. government take care of its priorities here before disabling one more American Military personnel overseas.

God Bless America and the Veterans Revolution

Sincerely,
Robert Rosebrock
Director, Old Veterans Guard

Dear Congressman Waxman:

Attached is our letter to you in PDF file for easier reading.

On behalf of all disabled and homeless Veterans, we seek your leadership to bring an immediate halt to any furtherance of the Court's Judgment against the VA and to assist in immediately establishing a Humanitarian Relief Project with emergency shelter and care on the grounds of the Los Angeles VA.
