After ‘Income Inequality,’ We Will Welcome ‘Lifetime Equality’

Re “Price: Income Inequality Must End. New Minimum Wage Is Mandatory”

Yesterday, our leftist friends gave us “marriage equality.”

Today they have gifted us with an “income inequality” argument.

Tomorrow I am looking forward to “lifetime equality.” Our always-grounded liberal friends will pass a law guaranteeing a minimum of 105 years of life – for everyone who agrees with them politically. Conservatives, I presume, will be limited to 25 years. “Independents,” typically, will be on life support.

While our old and well-meaning friend Curren Price passionately contends nearby that the wretchedly poor in his downtrodden district should receive a handout just because.

Just because?

Mr. Price, there is no meat on the bones you threw onto the table.

He is part of the crew who bowed the other day to the hardline SEIU and awarded a forced minimum wage on certain hotels. How democratic of them.

The point was, they all went home that night feeling better about themselves. That is the daily objective.

Sadly, Mr. Price and other leftists truly believe that “income inequality” must end. Nobody in the history of the world ever heard of such an irrational, self-immolating idea, outside of Communist and socialist circles. But never mind.

They believe you, I and a dishwasher should be cashing about the same size paycheck every Friday afternoon.

Leftists advocate this because it gives them – not the minimum workers — a cozy feeling.

They know but do not care that an increased minimum wage will knock thousands of these shlmiels out of work because their employers no longer can afford.

Like Mr. Price, they seek to make us feel guilty for not handing out free money to people dropped out of school and/or stole across the border and now make the smallest possible contribution to our society.
