252 Glue Dots

What will I do with 252 Glue Dots? On the little bag it says “Bonds Instantly; Super-Strength; Acid-Free.”

The little bag of 252 3/16-inch glue dots just arrived yesterday from Amazon Prime. I was so excited that I took out five of the dots to experiment. I glue-dotted one of my cutouts to the cabinet. It stuck. When I, just seconds ago, tried to remove it, it was a minor struggle to pull off the picture. Super-Strength? Not really. But“strong”? Yes.

Now I am faced with dreaming up myriad ways to utilize my new six-dollar investment. Okay, how about five ways during the writing of this essay?

1. I just glue-dotted the left vertical edge of my Mac. Now I can post my non-super-stick notes to the side of the Mac, where they will remind me of today’s events. Great!

2. I just glue-dotted the front panel of my printer so that when I need to remember to check the ink levels, I can stick a non-super-stick note that will stare me in the eyes before printing sans enough ink.

3. I just glue-dotted (twice) to my cabinet. Then I removed the unsightly Scotch tape from my favorite ink-cartridge-drilling drill and pushed the drill bit on to the glue dots. I wonder if/when it will fall?

4. I just glue-dotted my favorite gel pen to a single glue dot on the right side of my Mac. The pen weighed .4 ounces on my postal scale. I wonder if/when it will fall. This is FUN!

5. Now for something heavier. Let’s see. I just glue-dotted one of my popup cards to just two of the glue dots on my cabinet. The .9-ounce card still is holding. Amazing!

You can bet I will be checking all these hangings from time to time today. It will be exciting to see what has held on. These glue dots are so small and practically invisible.

Yay – no more ugly Scotch tape remnants all over my computer room. Now I’ll have to send away for other types of Glue Dots. Think what I can mount with ½-inch dots.

Think of the money I will save not buying Super-Sticky Post-Its.
