You vill obey every law.
Or you vill be punished.
This is the funniest/saddest/most ironic story of the week — until the Thanksgiving turkey spills.
We are indebted to www.patterico.com for exposing the wildest leftist fakery this side of laughable Robbie Abcarian of the laughable Los Angeles Times.
The darlings of diversity get docked again for irretrievable dopiness.
It seems that last May an astute middle-aged black woman, a 20-year employee, was promoted by the fruity folks of Apple.
Denise Young Smith was assigned the fruity Abcarian-style title Vice President of Diversity and Inclusion. That was the tipoff she was in a mental institution.
Everything went well. For hours.
Until last month when she uttered an unforgivable boo-boo that, of course, was not an error but a truth that leftists hate.
When a leftist employee carelessly lets a truism escapes his or her or its lips, he, her or it is to be viciously punished.
At a conference in Bogota, Colombia, Ms. Young Smith said:
“I focus on everyone,”
“Diversity is the human experience. I get a little bit frustrated when diversity or the term diversity is tagged to the people of color or the women or the LGBT or whatever because that means they’re carrying that around … because that means that we are carrying that around on our foreheads. […] There can be 12 white blue-eyed blond men in a room and they are going to be diverse too because they’re going to bring a different life experience and life perspective to the conversation.”
The issue “is representation and mix.” She is keen to work to bring all voices into the room that “can contribute to the outcome of any situation.”
“Heresy! Heresy!” came the shouts of boy and girl lefties from Silicon Valley to the bowels of Alabama.
When Ms. Young Smith returned to Northern California, she was made to feel almost white for having betrayed the dollies of diversity.
A nearby cartographer just tried to be helpful. “There is the door,” he said.
For having sinned, Ms. Young Smith has been axed.
With few black employees to choose from, and not many more women, Apple, head bowed, named a white lady to replace Ms. Young Smith. They gave her a coloring book, but no crayons, as a going-away reminder.
