Almost four months after an anxiously awaited July public meeting on Inglewood Oil Field regulations fell out, City Hall has set two community meetings for presentations regarding the voluminous oil field draft environmental impact report.
- Tuesday evening at 6:30 at El Rincon Elementary,
- Monday, Oct. 30, at 6:30 at the Stoneview Nature Center, 5924 Stoneview Dr.
Asst. City Atty. Heather Baker said the spotlight will be on two expert consultants at these 90-minute meetings.
These are not venues for submitting public comments on opinions about the new regulations, Ms. Baker said. Comments are to be submitted in writing only via http://www.culvercity.org/home/showdocument?id=9661
On both evenings, Melanie Doran Traxler, the Specific Plan project manager, and Kristin Starbird, the city’s EIR consultant, will make detailed presentations intended to help community members navigate the draft EIR’s hundred of pages.
Meghan Sahli-Wells and Jim Clarke, the City Council’s subcommittee on oil drilling, also will make observations.
