Because of their members’ widespread cerebral limits, limp-necked liberal racists are ordered to swim in the shallow, callow end of life’s intellectual pool.
Real-life bobblehead dolls such as state Senate leader Kevin (I Love Illegal Aliens) de Leon and George (Me, Too) Skelton of the Los Angeles Times are brilliant samples of limp-necked models.
As loyal liberals, Mr. de Leon and Mr. Skelton publicly have pledged to obey the laws they like and snub the laws they disagree with. On the left, that passes for intelligence.
As the Times’s Sacramento essayist, Mr. Skelton endorses Mr. de Leon’s sermons on the joys of living in a state with, officially, 2.6 million illegal aliens.
The boys agree with some criminal illegal aliens are good and other criminal illegal aliens are bad.
The boys will decide.
As California welcomes the looniness of becoming a sanctuary state, the boys don their cheerleader outfits and prance.
Mr. Skelton defines “sanctuary state” as meaning “California will refuse to help federal agents deport people who came here illegally but are staying out of trouble and contributing positively to the state.”
Yes, Sheriff, I killed a man last Thursday but I have not killed anyone since. I have been rehabilitated.
Mr. de Leon’s take is equally scholarly, at least by Berkeley standards:
“If you are a violent felon, we don’t want you in this country. Whether you are from Ireland or Korea, it doesn’t make any difference.”
But it does make a difference to Mr. de Leon if you are from Mexico, whether you have killed many or just a few.
Says Mr. Skelton: The sanctuary state bill that has sparked this nonsensical talk “is reflective of the fright and hatred created by President Trump in California, especially among Latinos.”
Darned laws.
I wish I were a leftist.
Then I, too, could choose what to obey.
