Odious Obama Policy Harmed My Dad’s Business

Mr. Notowitz

Another Obama era policy has been shut down!

The disgusting “Operation Chokepoint” has been ended by U.S. Atty. Gen. Jeff Sessions.

A destructive and dictatorial policy from the previous administration thankfully has been cut off.

The policy forced federally chartered banks to stop doing business with categories of businesses that President Obama didn’t like — pawnshops, firearms and marijuana dealers, among other businesses.

I watched first-hand as this policy damaged and threatened the business of my dad and my brother, Numis International, based in Millbrae, just south of San Francisco.

In 2013, I watched a bank that Dad did business with for 35 years suddenly call, literally in tears, to say they could no longer do business with him. And then they cancelled his account!

It literally felt like a dictator was running the country.
Thank you to President Trump for ending this.
The official letter is linked below.

Thankfully, my dad found a small bank — with five branches in Northern California — a state charter that could ignore the federal policy — willing to do business with him.

But it took a lot of searching — and a bank with uncommon courage.
