On this next to last evening of the Boulevard Music Summer Music Festival, Led Zeppelin rides again.

Thirty-seven seasons after the group was dissolved, “classic rock done acoustic with string quartet by Led Zepagain,” Led Zeppelin sounds will ripple across the comfortable Dale Jones Courtyard at City Hall.

At 7 o’clock, producer Gary Mandell will step on stage.

Before another capacity crowd, he will introduce what is regarded as the world’s No. 1 Led Zeppelin tribute band.

Although the weekly concert series largely is free, reserve tickets are sold, and again all have been purchased.

In Southern California, outdoors summer concerts generally are guaranteed perfect weather.

Cold nights invaded last year.

“We have enjoyed warm nights this year every Thursday night,” said Mr. Mandell.

On this evening when memories will be the gigantic, unseen but heartfelt visitor, the ‘70s sounds of Led Zeppelin will soar once more.

On this night, Led Zepagain will perform their show Symphony to Heaven, doing the classic songs of Led Zeppelin accompanied by a string quartet led by Glenn Grab featuring original arrangements written especially for them.

Originally performed in Las Vegas to standing ovations this is a rare chance to see t an amazing performance.

How good is this group? In January 2004, Led Zepagain was paid the highest compliment ever when Zeppelin’s original guitarist, Jimmy Page, caught their show.

He asked to meet the band in their dressing room where he praised them on their accuracy.

All the classic acoustic tunes plus the screaming electrics done at a level your ear doctor will approve of.
