Five years in the life of my computer is a long time.
My old friend the computer is aching.
He slows down, has too many files — mostly hidden — that I can never seem to find – in order to erase them.
His hourglass durations are getting longer and longer.
He can't seem to handle more than one — or at most, two — jobs at the same time.
He freezes up almost daily and his CTRL-ALT-DELETE key no longer works to get out of the mess. Only a restart will do the trick.
Then I heard about the iMac.
Can it really be that the iMac will be worry-free?
No more problems, not even a worry as to viruses from the internet.
Smooth sailing with more than two programs running.
I'll pay! I'll pay!!
Maybe you are not me, and you do not rely so heavily on the computer.
But can you understand my frustrations?
I'll let you know how it's going, sometime in October — after I have purchased my new iMac.
Sorry PC. You've been a stalwart friend for almost 5 years. But now you are akin to an albatross around my neck, at my fingers, more precisely.
Thanks for listening to my justification for spending good money for a computer that should, HOPEFULLY, give me years of enjoyment.
