Dear President Obama:

The federal government's surveillance van that was parked within 100 feet of the 67th consecutive Sunday Rally to “Save Our Veterans Land” on June 28, by the National  Veterans Home in West Los  Angeles, was an affront to our U.S. Constitution and a mockery of our American way of life.

Fellow Veterans repeatedly have requested regime change at the West Los Angeles VA Medical Healthcare Center.

These federal bureaucrats have insulted and transgressed against America's Veterans for the very last time.

These insults and transgressions now rest squarely upon your shoulders.

Mr. President, you've stated:

“We have a sacred trust with those who wear the uniform of the United States of America.”

If what happened a week ago yesterday  is your idea of a “sacred trust” toward America's Veterans, then you need to resign as Commander-in-Chief, posthaste.

However, if this is contrary to your beliefs, then it is imperative for you to immediately identify the person(s) in your Administration who issued the order to send a surveillance van to spy upon America's Veterans who were peacefully demonstrating outside the largest VA in the nation?

We have just celebrated Independence weekend Mr. President. For 233 years, men and women have sacrificed and dedicated their lives for the safety and independence of all others.

To allow this opportunity to escape without naming the culprits who ordered the spying upon innocent Veterans of World War II, Korea and Vietnam will forever remain an insult to every man and woman who has worn the uniform.

It will be a blight on you and your administration.

Moreover, you owe an apology to not only those individual Veterans who had their civil rights directly violated on June 28, but to every American Veteran for this shameful and disgraceful transgression.

(Signed)
