Armenta, the Only Candidate Who Has Been Elected by Culver City

Letters to the EditorLetters

Residents of Culver City…

As you know, we have three very important decisions to make on Tuesday.

We will be electing our representatives in City Hall for the next four years.

These are challenging times indeed: There is a state budget crisis that threatens the fiscal health of municipalities; we face a crossroads between the advantages and drawbacks of local development, and we need to bring back cooperation, civility, and community outreach that has been sorely lacking in the last few years.

No candidate is better equipped to take on these issues than Christopher Armenta.

What sets Christopher Armenta apart from the other eight candidates?

This community already has put its trust in Christopher twice as our two-term elected City Clerk.

He has delivered on every goal he set for the office. He has not let us down.

These past six years, Mr. Armenta has attended Council meetings to listen, record and assist the public with addressing its concerns to Council.

This experience is unique and extremely valuable – no other candidate can say he or she has “listened” to every issue of this community weekly for six years.

This experience makes Mr. Armenta distinctly in-tune with our community, our needs, and the inner workings of City Hall.

Christopher is the only candidate “elected” by this community.

As such, he is beholden to no one other than us, the residents, as it should be.

Christopher understands that Public Service is not “Public Serve Us.”

This is a distinction that sets him apart from the politics of the past. Please join me in voting for Christopher Armenta on Tuesday, and let us enjoy having a genuine representative of the people in City Hall.
