Criticism of Armenta for Some Claims He Has Made

Letters to the EditorLetters

The League of Women Voters’ forum last week showed me
the lack of knowledge that most of the City Council candidates have of our city, with the exception of Andy Weissman.

My issue is when our, as he says, “Elected City Clerk,
Christopher Armenta,” states as facts two issues that are out and out misstatements (lies).

His full title should be “Elected Part-time City Clerk Christopher Armenta.”

Christopher Armenta states time after time that he is at Council meetings “every” Monday night. He is not.

The City Council meets on the second and fourth Mondays of
the month, and may meet on the first and third Mondays at a
Redevelopment Agency meeting where the secretary of the Agency takes the minutes.

It is a small issue. But it shows the lack of integrity that our
“Part-Time Elected City Clerk” has shown during the campaign.

Our “Part-time Elected City Clerk” also states that he
instituted and takes credit for the City Clerk’s presence on the Culver City website.

Wrong again. The city’s Information Technology Dept. did the website, not Mr. Part-time.

The one thing Mr. Part-time Elected City Clerk did do is
garner 62 percent of the vote two years ago when running an uncontested election for “Part-time City Clerk.”

Just room for thought Culver City voters before the election on April 8.
