He Says Dems Should Be Punished if Anti-Free Speech Persists

If Mehaul O'Leary (a Decline to State registered voter) had been allowed to speak on Wednesday night at the Culver  City Democratic Club public forum, open free of charge to the public — in a public building no less — he would have absolutely stole the show by revealing that Mehaul [and his wife, Susan] had voted in the Democratic Party primary of 2008 !!!!!

As a registered voter of the Republican Party, I applaud Mehaul for wanting all political parties to compete from his vote — before he blindly becomes a member of any party.

That bastion of Free Speech rights, the Culver City Democratic Club, would have us all believe that they fear the public service opinions of three Republican candidates and one Decline to State candidate for a non-partisan office in Culver City.

Yes, the Demo Club membership has every right “not to endorse” a non-Democrat.  That part is understandable.

However, violations of the First Amendment should not ever be condoned — when and wherever they occur.

If the Demo Club persists with their anti-Free Speech attitude, they should no longer be allowed to meet in a public building supported by taxpayer dollars.
