Regarding Adele Siegel’s letter (“Message to the City Council: Agendize Impeachment,” Sept. 17, thefrontpageonline.com):

I would like to know why you think our City Council should vote to impeach President Bush. Our City Council governs our city, not the United States of America. It is not their job to cast such a vote.

We have a granddaughter serving in the Marines because she wanted to serve her country. And also she said that if her grandfather was good enough to serve in the Korean War, so she was good enough to serve in this war.

She has already done her duty in Iraq and is doing very well. We are very proud of her.

You used your letter to push your extremely left wing views. May I ask, how did you get the freedom to do that?

If it were not for our brave soldiers who served in past wars, do you think you would have that freedom?

If it were not for our soldiers who served in World War II, where would you be now?

I was born in Germany. Thankfully, my parents and I were able to come to the U.S. in 1940 after my father was released from the Buchenwald concentration camp.

By the way, conflict resolution may work in the workplace or in domestic problems. Would conflict resolution have worked with Adolph Hitler?
