Too bad that whacky Wendy Greuel and slippery Eric Garcetti both can’t lose their May 21 runoff to become – normal people help us – the next mayor of Los Angeles. That is like judging a mother-in-law contest. Do I have to select one?
What if the city ran on automatic for four years?
The mush-minded Los Angeles Titanic struck another blow for liberal ignorance this morning with a more bumbling than usual editorial in which they attempted to demonstrate God made a mistake when he invented the world. The Titanic tried to kiss itself on its leftward cheek while facing east, which even a liberal cannot do.
They chastised Ms. Greuel for chastising Mr. Garcetti as anti-union, which she can do because she slept with more dirty labor leaders than he did. Ergo, more dirty union money accrued to her campaign than to Mr. Garcetti’s.
Not that it helped so much because she lost by a husky 10, 670 votes.
The presumably prestigious County Democratic Party rejected both wimps when they crawled in the door the other day begging for backing and dollars. When the wimps crawled over to the quarters of the County Federation of Labor, Ms. Greuel won the first step in landing their endorsement, but it is not official yet.
When Ms. Greuel sashayed before the labor leaders, she put down Mr. Garcetti for “violating collective bargaining rules” by leading a City Council charge last year to lighten pension-associated benefits since the city presently is committing fiscal suicide.
The Titanic spanked Ms. Greuel for spanking their boy with a dirty, lyin’ accusation, as the newspaper likes to colorfully say with its super-diverse staff.
Meanwhile, Ms. Greuel, in her latest advertising, is acting like the Three Stooges rolled into a single messy diaper. Not a syllable about the dirty unions’ $.6 millions for sleeping with the boys.
Instead, she focuses on numbers that really matter to liberal voters:
- 35 girls named Wendy contributed to her campaign.
- 539 retirees gave 857 donations.
- Totally, 10, 125 persons made donations. (She did not mention how many are living and how many are dead – she is a Democrat.)
Nary a word about how she threw off the blankets, kissed her labor partner bye-bye, and then crawled into the gutter to collect her payoff. She had to wear plumber’s gloves while handling the mostly soiled $4.6 million fear that her fingerprints could be traced.
