Dianne and Henry Jump Fast on Gun Issue –They Don’t Jump at All for Veterans

Fellow Veterans and Friends of Veterans:

Over recent years, Veterans who have been protesting the criminal land-fraud at the Los Angeles VA and the subsequent abusive treatment to our disabled homeless Veterans, know too well that U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Ca) and U.S. Rep. Henry Waxman (D-Westside/South Bay) have whined that it “takes a long time” to get housing for our homeless Veterans.

After nearly a decade of excuses, and a couple ACLU lawsuits against the VA, the twosome finally cobbled together a pitiful $20 million from Congress to patch up a vacant, rat-infested, asylum-looking structure built more than 65 years ago that only will provide 55 beds. It will not even be ready until mid-summer of 2014. That is as fast and as little they can do for our disabled homeless Veterans.

On Friday, a monstrous mass murderer in Connecticut killed 20 small children and six adults.

A mere TWO DAYS LATER, the California Senator promised “to introduce an Assault Weapons Ban on the first day Of Congress.”

My message is not about Feinstein's politically polarizing bill to ban assault weapons, but to show how the Senator and Congressman – neither of whom is a Veteran – can move on a dime when they want to. Both elected pubic servants are responsible to protect Veterans property and their safe housing and care in Los Angeles.

They , have done nothing about that subject.

A couple years ago, Waxman was investigating professional baseball players for purportedly using steroids while Veterans who were patients at the Los Angeles VA in his district were committing suicide at an alarming rate.

Neither Waxman nor Feinstein called for an investigation. Nor did they offer a bill to stop the VA from issuing an over-abundance of mood-altering drugs to our mentally and emotionally disabled Veterans.

20 on One Side, 18 on the Other

While it was indeed a horrific crime that took the lives of 20 innocent children on Friday, nobody, Feinstein and Waxman in particular, is saying diddly-squat about the known fact that America’s military Veterans are committing suicide at the incredulous rate of 18 per day.

“18 Veterans Commit Suicide Each Day” – Army Times

Think about this: We lost 20 young children in a single day to a mass murderer. But, on average every day of the year, 18 Veterans are committing suicide and it’s never mentioned in the mainstream media, or raised as an issue with our politicians, including the President.

I am at a loss of words other than to say that we live in the sickest, most depraved society imaginable, because our so-called political leaders are the sickest, most depraved individuals imaginable.

God Bless America and the Veterans Revolution!
